HE MAY look like a mild mannered website designer but James Cox – the man behind the stylish IDS UK website – likes to mingle with the elements to unwind.
The superfit James,26, who has given IDS UK a streamlined identity with their new website, is a windsurfing nut who came fourth in the Tiree Wave Classic in October and represented Scotland in the Red Bull Storm Chase.
“I run a website development business based in Bournemouth and I have been working closely with the Business Development Team at IDS UK to manage their website based business requirements. I appreciate a quality website build and have fun developing web solutions with IDS for their fast developing internet presence.
Keeping up to date with the latest in web standards and technologies can be hard work so I need a good way to unwind. I find that windsurfing provides a great opportunity to do just that and allows me re-alignment time with mother-nature!"
James explained he and his brothers Simon, 34, and Tim, 30, are set to embark on a challenge that took root in their childhood.
The boys learned to windsurf as a result of their parent's passion for the sport – and while they practised near Hengistbury Head in Dorset, they would often look longingly at the Isle of Wight just nine nautical miles away.
James out of the office.
“We are now planning to windsurf around the Isle of Wight to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. My eldest brother Simon was ill a while ago and so the British Heart Foundation is a personal concern our ours.
Thankfully he is better now and will be joining us on the challenge – we reckon it will end up being a journey of between 80 to 100 nautical miles,” he said.
