       Nurses Click for Third Sector Health Advice - February 09IDS UK has launched a service that gives health professionals valuable advice for patients at the click of a button. www.leaflets2u.co.uk an internet ordering service which houses a library of leaflets from charities, government and the pharmaceutical industry, is the latest offering by IDS UK, who supply health and sign posting leaflets to 6000 doctor’s surgeries and over 1000 pharmacies UK wide. Managing Director Edward Pickering says nurses and GPs are flocking to the site to order helpful leaflets for their patients. He explained: “This library of health and sign posting information is a quick and easy way to order all the information their patients need. Charity information has been particularly popular, with ten leaflet titles being selected in such high demand we had to request more stock from our suppliers on the very day we launched the service. In its first week Leaflets2U has had over 1000 individual orders and shifted 11,000 titles per day. We can also help charities save money as we operate at lower fulfillment costs than if they provide this service themselves.” A spokesperson for the National Autistic Society, the UK's foremost charity for people with autistic spectrum disorders, said: "We know many professionals want quality, easy to access information on autism for their patients and we are also well aware of how time pressured they are, so Leaflets2U should be a really useful new resource." The new online service will help health practitioners to access and order leaflets for their patients covering a multitude of medical conditions – and they will be dispatched at the click of a button. Eva Neary of the Flour Advisory Bureau has also welcomed the introduction of the Leaflets2U service and described it as a 'great step forward.' “We have used the service in 6000 doctor's surgeries and because of the success of that, it gives Leaflets2U more credibility. It will be a great way to get our leaflets in front of the right people,” said Eva, whose organisation promotes a healthy lifestyle and how to deal with conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Practice Nurses Ann Freeman who is based in Southampton, said “The biggest benefit with the service is ease of use. A lot of nurses don’t have time to spend surfing the internet but ordering the leaflets through Leaflets2U couldn't be easier”. The service offers national coverage and allows in-house stock control and delivery of brochures along with quarterly reports on order statistics.
