GP Surgeries
WE'VE all been there – sitting in the waiting room before our appointment with the GP. Those moments before we see our doctor are crucial – and research shows this is the time when millions of people reach out for (your) our leaflets.
Up to 72 per cent of patients took more notice of healthcare information received within a healthcare setting such as a surgery or pharmacy – and 44 per cent felt the health professional was endorsing the messge.
We have evidence that shows patients often feel more confident about broaching a sensitive subject with their GP when they are armed with a factual leaflet from an IDS UK stand.
The leaflets can prompt patients to raise health concerns and can lead to better preventative care.
Choose between leaflets displayed in our wall mounted WIS display racks or leaflets displayed in conjunction with posters in our WIS frames.
Help2Health (H2H)
Pharmacies
 To improve our service further we have launched Help2Health – leaflet display stands sited in pharmacies across England and Wales.
Under proposals in the Government's White Paper 2009, pharmacies will play a greater role in the nation's healthcare provision and will become 'healthy living centres' that promote 'health and self-care.'
H2H has been developed to help pharmacies fulfill the Government's expectations - and so far 750 pharmacies have signed up.
The feedback has been really positive
Kettering based pharmacist Rakesh Patel said his customers have welcomed the leaflet stand in his pharmacy.
“When people are waiting for their prescriptions, they pick up the leaflets and it is a great source of information for them,” he said. “If I have customers who are newly diagnosed as diabetic or they are suffering from epilepsy I point them in the direction of the leaflet stand so they can get more information about their condition.”
We will be in 1000 pharmacies by January 09.
