Merchandiser's job description
The WIS service is provided free of charge to doctors surgeries and pharmacies over the whole of the UK .
We employ merchandisers on a quarterly basis to visit each of the surgeries, pharmacies and Audiology departments in their territories, to replenish them with the new and most current leaflets and information.
Every quarter (or Cycle) we ask that our merchandisers set aside 15 working days to complete the work and this is undertaken in January, April, July and October. We provide an annual schedule so that they can make arrangements around their WIS work.
We hope to provide new team members with an establishment territory of around 100 Surgeries for which we will provide the leaflets each quarter.
This material is delivered, pre-collated and boxed by courier in the week or so prior to when the leaflets are to be delivered to the surgeries.
We ask that a dry and secured area is provided in which to house the “kits” until the merchandising begins.
There are 12 calls per day, on average, that should be completed within the first ten days. However we have to take into account the “x” factor and in case of illness or vehicle breakdown there are an additional 5 days set aside.
Administration includes reporting each visit using a set form and submitting them in batches to the area manager along with any pay claims.
Should you have any further questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 01489 860000.
